Made a new video of my new headers. Gonna remove then soon, until them no driving!

Yep, sounds like your stereotypical boxer now (but better)! Glorious.

Sounds good but why take them off?

The headers touch the oil pan ever so slightly(sometimes, other times it doesn't). Either way, I contacted JDL and they are going to make a replacement header once they are back from the holidays. So now, I have to take these ones off and put the stock ones on, so then I can drive around and then put the new ones on later. . . make sense?

Ya, you run the risk of damaging the oil pan and maybe heating up the oil

That sounds fucking amazing, I'm jealous.

Really, they are having fitment issues again? That sucks man.

It is hit and miss. I am like one of 3 with the problem and JDL said they would replace it, so that is a plus. It touches the outer corner of the pan ever so slightly. It should be about 4 or 5 mm lower so that it doens't touch anything.

Sounds good though, what's the whole setup?
I'm thinking of going full 3" exhaust but I'm a bit worried that the noise will be unbearable.
*Edit, also your picture was a bit kinja'd*

Damn. Well here is two pictures. This one is of some dude on the forums.
And here is my crappy picture.
It isn't by much but it needs to be adjusted.
I wouldn't do a 3" exhaust. Some guy did a full 3" system and is no switching to a 2.5". My set up is Perrin catback, Motiv OP+Catted frontpipe, and of course JDL headers. It is loud(like a 6.5/10) but not too loud. I do wish it was a bit louder but not by much.

Yeah, that might singe the oil a bit :(
Well I did hear a bit about being able to extract about 50wtq NA with a full 3" exhaust, but I'm going to wait a bit too see some proof (if it's true though I'll probably do it). The car is not really a daily driver for me, but ideally I'd rather not have the police called from miles around when I do spirited backroad driving. Either way, I'm gunning for 210 whp NA without having to run E85, so anything that gives me a bit more, I'm likely to put on.

Well I do have good news for you then. Some dudes on the JDL thread got about 200 hp from a car on 91 octane with the UEL headers. It was on a mustang dyno if that means anything.
I did hear that the perrin 3" catback made more hp than the 2.5" catback but that might be lies. I would see if anyone did a dyno comparison with some headerback systems. I say if it isn't a daily then go for it. Although, it might be a little raspy. Nothing a resonator couldn't fix.

Well I'll be going el (finally got my order in!) so we'll have top see what kind of results tuners can pull out of a long tube design.

You went Nameless right?

yep Nameless with the dual layer ceramic coating.

I should get my headers coated by JDL. The passenger side runners pass semi close to the oil pan(only the top one) and I don't want any problems with cooling the oil. I wonder if they will still do it for my next ones for free.

Yeah, the nameless ones pass kinda close to the front of the block, so I want to keep as much of that heat at bay as I can, plus it enables better scavenging.
As for oil cooling, I'll be going to pick up a perrin cooler set-up tomorrow.
